Maxwell Park Expansion Project Announcement

Maxwell Park is getting major upgrades starting this fall! Construction begins September with utility improvements and flood protection, while spring water access continues uninterrupted throughout the project.

Maxwell Park has been the heart of our community for generations, and after years of planning, engineering studies, and securing state funding, we’re ready to share what’s next for this special place! Maxwell is getting some incredible and much needed upgrades starting this fall!

We understand that any changes to Maxwell Park bring up concerns. This park means everything to our families and we’ve heard those worries. That’s exactly why we’ve spent years gathering community input, and making sure that the park we know and love is preserved while also opening up new opportunities for improvements.

Spring water access will continue uninterrupted throughout the entire project. We’re building a new, expanded fill station near Water Canyon Elementary before any construction begins at the park, so families never lose access to the water we all depend on.

Construction is set to start this September with an expansion of the utility infrastructure and flood protection, as well as other foundational work that will preserve and protect this special place for future generations.

Please watch Mayor Jessop’s announcement video to learn more about the timeline and improvements planned. We’ll provide ongoing updates about construction schedules and park access so you can plan ahead for your family activities.
