Phase 1 Progress Update
Phase 1 infrastructure nears completion with a summer 2026 target, and a special concert is coming to Maxwell Park to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
The Maxwell Park expansion continues to move forward, and we are excited to share an update on where things stand.
Phase 1 of the project has focused on building the foundational utility infrastructure that will support every future phase of the park’s development. That work, including water, sewer, power, fiber, and gas installation throughout the project site, is substantially complete. The team is now focused on finalizing the culvert installation across the creek and rip rap reinforcement along its banks, which together serve as critical pieces of the park’s flood mitigation system and long-term site access.
The Phase 1 timeline has been updated from spring to summer 2026. Like any major construction project, we’ve navigated some scheduling adjustments along the way, and we want to make sure everything is done right. Once Phase 1 wraps up, the park will be available for public use, including weddings, reunions, and community events, through the summer and fall.
We’re also thrilled to announce that a concert event is being planned at Maxwell Park this summer in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. This will be the first major public gathering at the park since construction began, and we can’t wait to welcome the community back to Maxwell Park as part of this once-in-a-lifetime national celebration. More details will be shared as they are finalized.
Looking ahead, Phase 2 planning is already underway. Phase 1 laid critical groundwork, not only installing the utility infrastructure the park needs to grow, but also securing the community’s access to vital spring water resources for generations to come. The next phase will build on that foundation as the park continues to take shape. Timelines for Phase 2 will depend on funding, and we’ll keep the community updated as those details come together. The vision for Maxwell Park remains a multi-phased investment in Hildale’s future, and the best is still ahead.
We appreciate the community’s patience and excitement throughout this process. There’s a lot to look forward to.
